SJC Academic SHS teacher, to go to Korea in the KPTEP 2023
The Schools Division Office of San Juan City has yet another international achievement to celebrate as Mr. Leo Paolo B. Dilay, one of its teachers, has been selected to participate in the 2023 Korea-Philippines Teacher Exchange Programme (KPTEP). Last November 2022, OIC-School Head, Dr. Rina A. Angeles, was chosen to represent the Philippines at the Seoul SSAEM (Sharing Stories of Asia-Pacific Education Movements) Conference to present the school's best practices in the Online Teacher Exchange Programme. Mr. Leo Paolo B. Dilay and Dr. Rina A. Angeles are from San Juan City Academic Senior High School (SJC Academic SHS) and both strongly advocate for Global Education Citizenship.
The Ministry of Education (MOE), the Republic of Korea, and the Department of Education Philippines began the Korea-Philippines Teacher Exchange Programme in 2012 under the framework of the Asia- Pacific Exchange for Global Education (APTE) and the Basis of the Cultural Agreement between the Republic of the Philippines and the Republic of Korea entered into force on 27 April 1973.
Mr. Dilay, who teaches Social Science at San Juan City Academic Senior High School, is among the only eight teachers from the Philippines selected for this program. He is assigned to teach at Seoul Technical High School from April to July 2023.
The Korea-Philippines Teacher Exchange Programme is a testament to San Juan City Academic Senior High School and Schools Division Office-San Juan City’s commitment to quality education. Mr. Dilay's selection reflects the dedication and hard work of the school's teachers, who continue to strive for excellence in education.
