SES holds virtual Recognition Day
On June 28, 2022 at 8 o’clock in the morning, Salapan Elementary School (SES) had the virtual Recognition Day to confer awards to the pupils from grade one to grade five who have exerted efforts and have maximized the use of their knowledge, skills, and talents to excel in their studies.
The program hosted by Mrs. Maridel M. Masangkay began with the singing of the National Anthem followed by the prayer, opening songs, and the welcome remarks by the school head, Mrs. Florence C. Ares.
In his message, Dr. Leonardo P. Dagum Jr., the Education Program Supervisor in MAPEH and Partner EPS of SES, congratulated and inspired the learners when he said, “Be wise and strategic in choosing your path. Never stop learning, exploring, preserving, and challenging yourself. Follow the path that leads you to your dreams. Become story tellers of your success but remain humble and great.”
Likewise, he left a message to the teachers. “Never cease inspiring and shaping learners to shine. Continue to manifest patience.”
A song number was presented before the introduction of the guest speaker by Mrs. Marrilour T. Bulfango.
Mr. Renn Brian I. Bayanay, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), who is also an alumnus of SES inspired the learners with his words, “Work hard. Always try to be the best version of yourself. Don’t just focus on making your dreams come true but most importantly, make sure you find happiness in your journey. Do what you love, pursue the passion, and enjoy the process.”
The most awaited part, the awarding of medals, finally came. Mrs. Cely B. Yasay presented the 41 grade one pupils with honors while Ms. Angelic B. Tecson introduced the 21 grade two pupils with honors. In grade three, there were 35 pupils with honors and 3 pupils with high honors as presented by Ms. Sonia N. Lagat.
After another song number, Mrs. Maridel M. Masangkay named the 21 grade four pupils with honors and 12 pupils with high honors. She then gave the floor to Mrs. Marrilour T. Bulfango who presented the 16 grade five pupils with honors and 6 pupils with high honors.
A video presentation featuring the pupils’ works and outputs for their performance tasks was shown before Mr. Anthony Q. Aguilar, Master Teacher 1, gave the closing remarks.
Congratulations to the academic awardees and of course to their parents or guardians who have shown their unwavering support to the learners in this trying time!
