SES conducts two momentous events in a day
In celebration of an important milestone in the pupils’ lives and in recognition of the pupils who have done their best in pursuit of academic excellence, Salapan Elementary School held the Kindergarten Moving up ceremony with the theme, K to 12 Graduates: Pursuing Dreams and Fostering Resilience in the Face of Adversity ( Gradweyt ng K to 12: Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga Pagsubok) on June 27, 2022 at 7 o’clock in the morning and the Recognition Day for the Grade 6 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon at the quadrangle.
San Juan Representative Atty. Bel Zamora, Vice Mayor Warren Villa, Councilor Ervic Vijandre, Barangay Captain Charles “Ayie” D. Tejoso, Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Cecille G. Carandang, CESO VI, Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Buenafe E. Sabado, Education Program Supervisor in Kinder, Mrs. Ma. Lucila G. Anatalio, and SES principal, Mrs. Florence C. Ares, took part in the event together with the faculty of SES, the movers, their parents, and supporters.
The Kinder Moving Up ceremony started with the processional followed by the singing of the National Anthem conducted by Mrs. Salome M. Encabo. After the opening prayer, the movers sang the opening songs conducted by the school MAPEH coordinator, Mrs. Jennelyn R. Ronquillo.
When School Head Mrs. Ares had delivered the opening remarks, Barangay Captain Tejoso, Atty. Zamora, and Vice Mayor Villa gave their respective messages to the Kinder pupils.
The presentation of the 139 movers by Mrs. Ares, the conferment of the candidates for the Moving Up ceremony by Dr. Sabado, and the acceptance and distribution of certificates and medals by Dr. Carandang with the help of Mrs. Anatalio and Mrs. Ares came next.
Next to Dr. Carandang’s message of excellence, were a special number from the pupils and thanksgiving by the Kinder teachers, Mrs. Marivic M. Macapagal and Mrs. Riza D. Arambulo.
Before the recessional, the movers expressed their gratitude as they sang “Thanks to You” to their hearts content. Mrs. Jennifer C. Dimalanta, the Master Teacher – in – Charge, delivered the closing remarks. Mrs. Marrilour T. Bulfango, the master of ceremony, congratulated the movers and their parents and thanked everyone for gracing the occasion.
In the afternoon, Mrs. Eva A. Manjares hosted the program to pay tribute to the graduating pupils and give recognition to the academic awardees. Barangay Captain Charles “Ayie” D. Tejoso, SES principal, Mrs. Florence C. Ares participated in the event together with the faculty of SES, the graduating pupils, their parents, and supporters. The singing of the National Anthem marked the start of the program.
Mrs. Ares gave the welcome remarks followed by the inspirational message of Barangay Captain Tejoso, an alumnus of Salapan Elementary School.
Dr. Leonardo P. Dagum Jr., the Educational Program Supervisor in MAPEH and the partner supervisor of SES, congratulated the awardees and advised them, “Be wise and strategic in choosing your path. Never stop learning, exploring, preserving, and challenging yourself. Follow the path that leads you to your dreams. Become story tellers of your success but remain humble and great.”
Mrs. Bulfango introduced the guest speaker, Mr. Renn Brian I. Bayanay, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) who is also an alumnus of SES. He spoke of the real essence of the ceremony. “I want you, guys, to realize that this day is not just to recognize those who excelled in academics. I want you, guys, to recognize how resilient you have been in the past, that together you all endured hardships, defeated challenges, and created a memorable and fruitful academic year for each and every one and that won’t happen if you’re alone,” he said.
With their parents, the 27 pupils with honors and three pupils with high honors went up the stage to receive the medals.
Hanz Dominic V. Villas, one of the pupils with high honors, said the word of thanks which preceded Mrs. Bulfango’s closing remarks. The program ended with the academic awardees’ rendition of the song, “Tagumpay Nating Lahat.”
After the photo op, the graduating pupils, together with their parents and the teachers proceeded to the classroom for the salo – salo. June 27, 2022 was indeed a red – letter day for the Salapeños.
