SDO conducts series of SIP-TA sessions to all public schools
In line with the DepEd mandate on providing quality education for all; the Division of San Juan through the School Governance Operations Division (SGOD) recently held a series of School Improvement Plan (SIP)-Technical Assistance (TA) Sessions to all the public secondary and elementary schools under the Division. Spearheaded by the School-based Management (SBM) core group, led by SESG Focal Person Ana Marie Hernandez, the objective of the sessions is to help schools deepen their knowledge in preparing their SIPs for SY 2022-2025. It foremost tackled the importance of determining priority improvement areas (PIAs) and aligning school programs and projects to address PIAs within the three-year period. PIAs will also serve as input to the six-year Division Education Development Plan (DEDP), so the Division can provide appropriate assistance in terms of material or technical expertise to the schools.
The (virtual/face-to-face) TA sessions were held from October 2021 to March 2022 and was participated by Education Supervisors Orlando Claor, Ma. Lucila Anatalio, Jonas Feliciano Domingo, Bradley Goldie Loo, Marnelli Tolentino, Amelita Panelo, Emma Sendiong, Anselmo Joven (ret) and Planning Officer Michael Rull, Project Officer Ed Banay, SGOD Chief Dominique Rivera and ASDS Buenafe Sabado as TA Providers with Ms. Maristela Kelly Rodriguez, as technical assistant.
It was agreed that draft SIPs will be submitted to the SBM Core Group for content and technical editing on 31 March and will be subjected to inter-coder reliability with the schools in April. Final SIPs will be submitted to the Division in May for approval.
The above undertaking is part of the SDO’s effort to intensify provision of TA to the schools to achieve improved school outcomes.
