City Government and The PARC Foundation donate Books for San Juaneño Learners


The City Government of San Juan in cooperation with The Performing Arts and Recreation Center (PARC) Foundation donated 32,415 books to all San Juan public schools and barangays.


The Turn-over Ceremony dubbed “Tulong Edukasyon para sa Kabataan at Sining sa Makabagong San Juan” was held last December 10. 2019 at the San Juan Science High School Building. The activity was led by Mayor Francisco Javier Zamora, San Juan City Mayor, Mr. William Guido, Chairman and CEO- Guido Group of Companies, Miss Larissa Nodalo, Co-founder and President- The PARC Foundation, Dr. Cecille G. Carandang, OIC- Schools Division Superintendent and Mrs. Flordelisa D. Pereyra, OIC-Assistant Schools Division Superintendent.


During the Turn-over Ceremony, Mayor Zamora reiterated his vision that all the donated books are for the benefit of San Juan learners. He also encouraged the development of consciousness in the arts and culture among the youth of San Juan.


School heads, Barangay officials and other stakeholders participated in the activity which was facilitated by the Division Learning Resource Management Section headed by Dr. Jonas Feliciano C. Domingo, Education Program Supervisor, Mrs. Vilma T. Padilla, LRMS Librarian II, Mr. Michael P. Rull, Project Development Officer and the SDO-San Juan Learning Resource Coordinators, Librarians and Teacher-Librarians Association (SDO-LERLIT Assoc.) officers and members in cooperation with Mrs. Hasmin Ann Madriaga, Division Supply Officer, Mr. Bayani Zurbito, The PARC Foundation, Miss Gabe Guevarra and Miss Debbie Rillo, City Mayor’s Office.
